Jarrod Ritchie

Jarrod Ritchie BSc (Hons)

Managing Director/Executive Director

Jarrod Ritchie has over fifteen years experience in the opiates industry. He is the founder and Managing Director of TPI Enterprises (TPI) and has managed TPI from its inception as a start-up to its current position as Australia’s third licensed poppy processor.

Jarrod has spearheaded new research in the opiates industry, including TPI’s unique environmentally friendly, solvent-free process, and the successful trialing of a thebaine-rich variety of poppy, as yet unseen for commercial crops.

The establishment of TPI is a task Jarrod has undertaken against heavyweight competition. There are currently two other global pharmaceutical companies operating in Australia but both are foreign owned.

In 2008, Jarrod and the TPI team achieved the first commercial harvest of the only Australian licit narcotics manufacturing company, one of only nine manufacturers in the world.

Minister Llewellyn and TPI Enterprises Managing Director

Letter from the MD

For the past few years I have been fortunate to be part of the rapid and exciting growth of TPI Enterprises Ltd.

Through determination and hard work we have achieved many milestones to date and will continue to strive towards becoming an integral part of the Australian poppy industry.

In time, our aim is to develop strong partnerships with the Tasmanian poppy growers, our customers, and the community. It is through these partnerships that TPI will grow and expand our innovative ways of researching, manufacturing and securing the future of the industry in Tasmania.

I look forward to keeping you updated on TPI's progress.
